u14s Tournament Win in Bridgwater

E-mail Print PDF

853 Miles on the clock. 2 Semi Finals Exeter FC and Grange (AET). 3 Finals and no goals at Bath Arsenal, South Newton & Wishford (defeated on pens), Charlestown FC ... eventually the curse of no goals in a final was broken with a convincing 3 - 0 win over Bridgwater Wolves. The boys have worked hard on finishing over the last two weeks at training.

Defensively an excellent afternoon, conceding just 2 goals in ten games, v Aller Park Juniors, Aller Park Rangers, Weston, Wells, Burnham Utd, Bridgwater Wolves A&B, Bridgwater VPR . The team shape improved as the tournament progressed longer and wider in possession which stretched physically bigger opponents, switching play with an overload in attack enabling tap-in's at the back post. Hard work paid dividends - Well done boys, Phil RS.
